The Naruto vs Pain fight was supposed to the best fight till date at the time of episode release. So many years of build up to make Nine tails go on a rampage. Fucked up village & Jiraya, Kakashi, Hinata , frog Gramps death all went in vain coz of this Spaghetti flying shit of animation.

Edit: I just remembered that Episode 447, from the Jiraiya Scrolls arc, has a Pain vs 6-tailed Naruto variant that follows the manga more closely. This is from around 18:20 to the end of the episode. However, the animation is nowhere near as smooth as it was in 167.
